Tish was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Upon graduation from the University of Toronto, with a degree in Economics, Tish accepted a job at Bell Canada. The telecommunication industry in Canada was going through a revolution, with forbearance forcing incumbents to re-look at the efficiencies of their businesses. Her role was to focus on voice simplification and rationalization, specifically on improving revenue and operational efficiencies for the small to medium business market. This began her admiration for telecommunications and the ever fast paced world of technology….
12 years later, She continue to work at Bell Canada and has been privileged to have a career with a diverse array of experiences which include, data mining, regulatory strategy, corporate communications, pricing, technology development, marketing, and business development.
In 2001 She joined one of the key growth areas of the company – Consumer Broadband. As part of the Sympatico marketing team she led strategies for pricing and acquisitions. Four years later she moved into her current role in services and product development. Accountable for voice and messaging services her team was responsible for the launch of Bell’s first consumer VoIP service, and most recently Bell’s new IP messaging service – Online Voice mail. Today she sits on the Board of Directors for The North American Messaging Industry.
Recently she changed portfolios and is now focused on hardware and in home distribution. This new role offers many challenges in developing strategies for hardware in the home and evolving how to compliment consumer lifestyles.
An advocate for continuously learning, She has completed Project Management Certification, Information Technology curriculum at Ryerson, as well as Marketing and Negotiation at Richard Ivey School of Business.
As a first generation Canadian, born to parents that travelled extensively in their youth, she was continually exposed to new places and encouraged to travel and learn through experience. Throughout her career this travel bug continues to be an indulgence for her.
