Jennifer Ouano is founder and head of Elastic Entertainment, a digital media company that harnesses the power of creativity to develop, produce, strategize and collaborate on original entertainment properties across the digital universe.

Over the past 15 years, Jennifer has worn many media hats as an award-winning cross-media producer, director, consultant and entrepreneur. She is passionate about creating and producing innovative, multi-platform entertainment that drives creativity, community-building and storytelling experiences. She is a recognized leader in the Canadian new media industry, being called upon to present her expertise on digital media and social media trends, technologies, challenges and opportunities. Through Elastic Entertainment, she has developed web and mobile tech platforms and applications (Sqwhere, OBehave, MadeinVAN, Person-Place-Thing); produced cross-media projects for broadcasters (Jetstream Interactive for Discovery Channel); and consulted with media companies about their interactive strategies (client list includes: Paperny Films, Inner City Films, CineFocus Canada Productions, Banff New Media Institute, International Interactive Emmy Awards, Canadian Film Centre, Canada One TV, Shore-FM Radio Group, Exponentia, Vidfest, New Media BC, Whistler Film Festival, North Vancouver School Board, BookShorts).

Jennifer is very proud of her work on ZeD, CBC TV’s flagship convergence program and a social media pioneer. Jennifer was co-creator, senior producer and head of convergence, creative and business development (yes, all at the same time). She was awarded the prestigious 2005 Woman of Vision Award and a 2004 Leo Award, as well as several nominations for Geminis, Leos, Yorktons and a 2004 team Emmy nod. Jennifer was also the producer and director of Zed Real, directed the award-winning music documentary, Burning to Shine, created the hilarious William Shatner Music Mash-Up, and developed Canada's first-ever mobile video competition for Vidfest.

With tastemaker acumen and a nose for the freshest ideas, Jennifer loves nothing more than to collaborate with smart, creative individuals on killer projects.
