Deborah Osborne is a Post Production Manager and Consultant with over 25 years experience on features, TV series, MFTV, documentaries and live-to-air-programming. From early years in theatre and opera stage management, Deborah’s move into film and television has spanned a wide range of creative, administrative and production positions, with the focus for the last several years almost exclusively in post production management. Past clients include most of the major networks and distributors in North America and Europe, on a variety of programming from “The Jim Henson Hour”, “Nero Wolfe Mysteries” for A&E, and re-purposing “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones” for IMAX. Several years as Post Production Risk Manager for a completion bond company gives Deborah special insight to the challenges of completion and delivery of film and television productions with the evolving technology, and the demand for diverse content delivery elements in the global market.

Deborah enjoys contributing to the growth of the industry by creating and conducting seminars and workshops on post production for clients such as: The Banff World Television Festival; the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television; AMPIA; Telefilm Canada; FTX West; The Guild of Canadian Composers; Film Training Manitoba; Sheridan College; SAIT; NAIT; Red Deer College; and the Directors Guild of Ontario. Deborah designed and taught graduate courses on Post Production Supervision, and Business Skills for Humber College, and worked as Training and Education Facilitator of Professional Development for the Directors Guild of Ontario. She has also been a member of Canadian in Women in Communications for the last ten years.

Since moving from Toronto to Calgary in 2005, Deborah is the Post Production Manager for Joe Media Group Inc. in Calgary. One of her most recent accomplishment is co-producer of “The Fiddle and the Drum” production with Joni Mitchell and the Alberta Ballet, for Bravo.
