Debbie is a seasoned business professional with over 20 years of experience in assisting clients to identify and attract top talent leaders and build strategies that deliver improved results. Her area of emphasis has been on leadership development, succession planning, launching ecommerce ventures, forming strategic alliances, marketing communications and recruiting. Debbie has established a solid reputation as a results-oriented innovator through a series of corporate and consulting assignments in financial services, telecommunications, property and casualty insurance, information technology and communications. She is a popular speaker on the topics of leading client-driven cultures, and forming HR strategies for fast-growth industries.

In recent years, Debbie was Vice President, E-Business Marketing and New Initiatives at BMO Financial Group. Her portfolio included developing and launching new ecommerce businesses, forming strategic alliances, building communication strategies to enhance the BMO e-business brand, building innovative HR strategies for the client-driven direct bank known as mbanx and recruiting for ecommerce ventures. Previously Debbie worked with Lavalife (technology based meeting services) to facilitate strategic planning for new territories in Australia and Europe and to manage the recruiting and organizational integration of newly merged interactive marketing firms. On the financial services front, Debbie’s background included senior roles with a leading Canadian property and casualty insurance firm where she took on a series of critical initiatives including the development of high performance organization systems, succession planning and an internal MBA training program.

In addition, she ran her own consulting business helping clients to develop results-driven programs such as, designing and delivering Executive Team Retreats, facilitating strategic planning meetings, developing Board Governance systems and Directors recruiting and orientation programs.

Debbie is a qualified Myers Briggs Type practitioner. She holds a Human Resources Development Certificate from the University of Toronto. Debbie is a member of the Board of Directors for Factory Theatre, Toronto and The Rotman School of Business MBA program and she is a volunteer with the Toronto Region Research Alliance.
