Bonnie McKenzie has enjoyed a lengthy and varied career within Bell Canada for over 20 years. She deems herself extremely fortunate to have worked as a Senior Project Manager on some of Bell’s leading edge product and service introductions, including a recent venture into the world of IPTV, deploying several innovative service features such as remote record PVR functionality as well as an informative TV portal, both of which uniquely joined web and TV capabilities. At the forefront of the Sympatico/MSN creation, she was involved in combining the talents of two of Canada’s communications giants into a collaborative online portal and custom ISP client service offering. Bonnie also rode the first wave of convergence initiatives at Bell and learned about the politics of communications during her 3 yrs with Stentor, the “Charlottetown Accord” equivalent in communications. Outside of work, she finds delightful reprieve and limitless joy in her extended/international family (with presence in Germany, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic) and in her weekly classical vocal workout with the Exultate Chamber Singers. She is honoured to be in such exclusive company as the CWC/Corus award recipients gathered here in Banff.
